A Dual-Platform for
Francophone Educational Resources
and
Interactive Student Adventures
Lio is, on one side, a fun and interactive adventure for elementary and high school students, inviting them to explore Canada's various territories and provinces from the perspective of Francophone identity and culture.
On the other side, it is a platform dedicated to teachers, allowing them to access the numerous educational resources and activities developed by the Association Canadienne d'éducation de langue française (ACELF).
The gaming experience is built around an interactive map of Canada, featuring various mini-games that allow players to learn more about the platform's three main itineraries:
Seek out adventure with Makwa to learn what the legends and myths of Canada can teach us.
Follow Sasha to discover french culture from sea to sea; coloquialism, speech, artists, athletes, celebrations, traditions and more!
When playing, seek out Discovery modules to learn more about a specific subject that can help you on your adventure!
Travel with Nour to explore stunning locations and french heritage through its history and symbols.
Throughout their journey, players also encounter characters from across Canada’s provinces and territories, each representing the country’s wide Francophone culture.
Collect rewards as you progress through your adventures!
Lio for teachers
Teachers can integrate the resources and educational activities provided into their classes. Lio fosters engagement and helps promote Francophonie through an interactive, original, and playful experience. A dashboard allows teachers to access specific resources and information, and to track their students’ progress across different learning pathways.
Lio is currently in development and will continue to evolve and expand over time. New content and games will be added, and the teacher dashboard will be enhanced with additional features. This platform is developed for the Association Canadienne d’Éducation de Langue Française, which aims to maintain and strengthen Francophone networks across Canada.
